The recent IPCC report highlights that immediate, rapid, and large-scale reductions have to be implemented to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in order to limit climate change and the risks to the planet and livelihoods. As for August, ALECA has invited Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi, who presented on a topic entitled 'EV in Malaysia: Green Shoots of Growth?' and speak about the sustainability aspect of electric vehicles in Malaysia. The second guest speaker is Dr Renato Lima, who presented on how the roles of policy and politics of different countries play a role in the rate of decarbonization.
